Barely four months after the diesel fuelled Pulse hatchback was launched, Renault India has launched the petrol variant. It is powered by an inline 1198cc, 3-cylinder engine which makes 76PS of power and 104Nm of torque, same as the Nissan Micra. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Renault claims that the Pulse will deliver a fuel efficiency of 18.03kmpl.

All Pulse petrol trims get 14 inch wheels as standard and the base RxE trim gets a driver airbag, electronic power steering, central locking, air conditioning, follow-me headlamps while only the top-end RxZ has dual airbags and ABS with EBD apart from automatic climate control, smart access key, engine start/stop button and rear defogger with timer.
