Shell and LEGO offer a range of Limited edition Ferrari Model collectibles in India
Shell, the global oil company, has announced the launch of a new promotion in coordination with Ferrari and the LEGO Group. This activity has been taken up by Shell's Indian arm. India is now one of the few countries in the world to have a range of limited edition, buildable, collectible Ferrari models made from LEGO bricks. These LEGO models and LEGO mini-figures are available for purchase exclusively at Shell stations across the country (Bangalore, Mysore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat and Baroda).
There are certain 'availability criteria' tha have been set, namely purchase of 25 litres of petrol or diesel or 20 litres Shell Super petrol. Bikers can provide, accumulated receipts of 4 fills. Purchase of Advanced Ultra/Helix Ultra lubricant can also be used to earn eligibility. The offer introduces six exclusive Ferrari Model LEGO collectibles that are based on some of the most iconic vehicles in Ferrari's motoring history. It also reiterates Shell's long standing relation with Ferrari and Ferrari Motorsports.

These Ferrari models come with the smallest 'micro-propulsion' motor. They are capable of performing a minimum of 300 pulls, propelling a 30g vehicle a minimum of 2 metres. The collectibles are available at a price of Rs 249. The range of Ferrari models are -
Ferrari F150 Italia - It is the race winning 2011 F1 car. Shell has included the option to change the livery to that of either Felipe Massa or Fernando Alonso.
Scuderia Ferrari Truck - It is the transport truck of the motorsport team. The model boasts of realistic details on the lights, radiator and front grilles.
Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta passo corto (SWB) - It is the first Ferrari road car to use disc brakes. Its distinctive round headlights have been made to work seamlessly in LEGO bricks. The original car was a legend.
Ferrari F40 - It is one of the most recognisable sports cars of all time, gets a classic aerodynamic form and square rear spoiler.
Ferrari FXX - It is the high-performance racing version of the Ferrari Enzo, with black livery and sleek styling.
Ferrari 458 Italia - An iconic car. The LEGO model has tried to capture every little detail like triple exhaust to multi-LED front lights.
