Suzuki Gixxer launched in India at Rs 72,199
Suzuki has already revealed most of the information about the Gixxer on their website including full specification data and on road prices in multiple cities. The Gixxer is Suzuki's flagship locally manufactured motorcycle in India. The Gixxer is an all new motorcycle that features a new 155cc engine which produces 14.8PS and 14Nm. These are among the highest figures in the category and the motorcycle's sportiness is further aided by its light 135kg kerb weight. Suzuki is aiming the Gixxer at the younger end of the market, particularly at riders in the 18-25 age group. While Suzuki is marketing the Gixxer as a 'street sport' motorcycle they also claim a very high 63.5kmpl mileage. That is also one of the highest figures in the segment.
Suzuki has a lot riding on the Gixxer and is also in the process of significantly widening its dealership network. The manufacturer which currently has about 700 dealerships pan India plans to extend that number to 1000 by the end of the financial year.
