Tata launches new Sumo Gold in India at Rs 5.93 lakh
Tata Motors has launched the new Sumo Gold starting at a price of Rs 5.93 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The vehicle was first unveiled at HORIZONEXT a few months ago and has now made its way to Tata showrooms.

The new Sumo is powered by a 3.0-litre CR4 diesel mill that produces 85PS of power and 250Nm of peak torque. The company claims a fuel efficiency of 15.3kmpl, a new improved clutch with better performance and longevity, improved braking and softer suspensions. The fuel filter replacement interval has also been increased now by 50 per cent at 45,000km. With its 15-inch tubeless tyres, the Sumo Gold boasts a 182mm ground clearance.
More space, dual AC and a new music system are additions on the inside
On the outside, the Gold gets a new grill, redesigned lamp assemblies, fog lamps, 15-inch wheels and new wheel caps. Insides are more spacious, and now come with dual AC, power steering, power windows, immobiliser and a new music system with USB and Bluetooth. One can even pair their mobile phone to the Bluetooth system and receive phone calls via handsfree reception.

The new offering is a result of extensive consumer studies and field tests to fulfill various requirements, long-awaited by the new generation customer," said Ankush Arora, senior VP, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit (Commercial), Tata Motors.
The new Sumo Gold has five variants, namely GX, FX, EX, LX and CX. It also comes in four paintjob options namely blazing red, twilight grey, arctic silver and porcelain white. Tata is offering the car with a 3 year/1 lakh km warranty, whichever is earlier.
