Tata Motors free monsoon check up camp to start from July 15, 2016 in India
Tata Motors has announced a free nationwide check up for its passenger vehicles at its 533 authorised service centres. The camp will be held from July 15 to July 21, 2016. The highlights of the camp include a 40-point check up for brakes, wipers, headlights and engine oil to ensure that the cars are fit for the monsoon season. Besides this, customers can also avail of discounts on genuine parts, oil and lubricants, accessories and labour charges.
Car owners who'd like to find out the current market value of their car can also opt for the free evaluation service at the camp. Those who'd like to buy a new vehicle can also go for on-spot loan applications at select dealerships. Initiatives like this will help Tata Motors gain customer confidence in their products as the brand has been losing out big time on customer satisfaction with respect to after sales.
Tata Motors, which launched the Tiago hatchback earlier this year has received a good response for the car. The Tata Tiago is available in both petrol and diesel options and is also very attractively priced at Rs 3.20 lakh, ex-Delhi. The company is also looking to add an AMT to this mix at a later stage. In the same vein, Tata Motors have deferred the launch of the Hexa MPV primarily due to the Delhi diesel ban which doesn't allow car manufacturers to register cars above 2,000cc in the capital. This ban was also extended to Kerala but is now on hold in the state. Tata Motors is said to be working on sub-2,000cc diesel engines, similar to what Mahindra did recently.
Next year, Tata Motors will be ready with an all-new AMP-platform based car which will take on the likes of the Hyundai Elite i20 and the Maruti Baleno. It is likely that the car will be bigger than the Tata Bolt and will have more space and features. Tata Motors will be using all new petrol and diesel engines based on the Revotron and Revotorq family for this hatchback codenamed X451.
