Unveiled Chevrolet Onix hatchback
General Motors chose to display its new subcompact hatchback, the Onix at the 2012 Sao Paulo Auto Show. Made specifically for the Brazilian market, the Onix is based on the same platform as the Sonic and has a 1.4-litre 4-cylinder motor with a 6-speed auto transmission. In the past four years, as much as $5 billion has been pumped by GM into its Brazilian operations. The company says that Brazil is its third largest market outside China and North America.
