Unveiled MV Agusta Rivale
MV Agusta will be showcasing this, the 2013 Rivale at the EICMA Show this November. The naked motorcycle shares its 800cc triple engine with stablemate, the Brutale 800 â" another EICMA debutant. Essentially a higher capacity reworked version of the F3's engine, Agusta engineers increased the bore to 81mm to make for more power.
As far as styling goes, the Rivale borrows elements from Ducati motorcycles. For example, the front end is borrowed from the Hypermotard while the Diavel donates its numberplate hanger and seat. Sitting over the cast/trellis frame is the nicely sculpted tank unit. As shown on the F3, the Rivale also gets a triple-port exhaust system. More details of the motorcycle as also images will emerge from the EICMA show floors on November 15.
