Vespa now available for the price of Rs 62315
Always wanted to own the stylish Vespa in India but were deterred by the high price? Not any more! Vespa have reduced prices of their premium scooter to Rs 62315, ex-Mumbai, down from the launch price of Rs 66,000. Earlier during the festive season last year, Vespa was offering discounts on their scooters albeit for a limited period of time. According to the company, there are more than 25,000 Vespa scooters on the road, just eight months after the launch. The Vespa brand is present in more than 49 cities through 69 dealerships in India.
Speaking on this development, Ravi Chopra, chairman and managing director, Piaggio Vehicle Private Limited said, "We are extremely delighted that Vespa has been able to create a new premium category within a short span of eight months while striking a strong chord with the Indian consumer. As we move into 2013, we are looking to increase this base and consolidate our national presence. From a business point of view, we've been able to build a strong network of dealers and partners much faster than we thought, thereby enhancing the reach and penetration. Our aim is to constantly enhance the brand value and experience for our customers and we will keep striving towards the same. We are hopeful that Vespa will carry on making the Indian roads stylish and give our buyers their much awaited fashionable ride through town."
