Vespa VX Esclusivo launched in India at Rs 73,387
Vespa has launched a limited edition of the VX, the Esclusivo in India at Rs 73,387 ex-Pune. The on-road price is Rs 81,800. Only a thousand of these scooters will be available for sale and all of them will come wearing a serial number based on their production series. They come priced at around Rs 3,000 more than the regular VX.
So what's different in the Vespa VX Esclusivo edition? It comes with a matte black colour option as seen first on the Vespa S, new Esclusivo graphics, black alloy wheels and a two tone seat. The mechanicals have been carried over from the VX which means a front disc brake, grippier MRF tyres and the 10PS/10.6Nm 125cc carburetted engine mated to a CVT. The scooter will only be available in black, white and red. The red colour will be readily available while the other two will be delivered within two weeks.
The company will be officially announcing the launch of the scooter sometime next week.
By the end of this year, Piaggio is also looking at bringing in the exclusive 946 to India, the price of which is expected to rival some 1000cc motorcycles in the country.
