Volkswagen launches Vento TSI in India at Rs 9.99 lakh
Volkswagen has launched the performance enhanced, turbocharged Vento TSI in India. It has been launched at a price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Vento TSI is powered by the 1.2-litre, four cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that is good for 105PS of power and 175Nm of peak torque. It comes synced with a 7-speed DSG automatic. Claimed fuel efficiency figure of the Vento TSI is 16.93kmpl. It also comes equipped with a host of safety features like ABS, an electronic stabilization program (ESP), hill-hold function, dual frontal airbags, 3-point seatbelts at the front and an electronic engine immobilizer with floating code.

Recently Volkswagen hinted at the probability of retiring naturally aspirated engines and going all turbocharged. After dropping the 1.2 TSI in the engine hub of the Polo and getting impressive numbers, the Vento 1.6 is taking the 1.2 TSI. The turbocharged unit is smaller, powerful and more efficient in terms of fuel and emissions.
Sales of the new Volkswagen Vento TSI will commence from October 10, 2013. The car will initially be available in selected cities across India. Six colour options are offered for the Vento TSI.
