The fourth edition of Volvo Sustainable Mobility Awards, organised by Volvo buses, invites entries from stakeholders working in the field of sustainable mobility. These stakeholders may individuals or bodies affiliated to NGOs, consultancies or institutions.
The main aim here is to promote and reward sustainable solutions and outstanding efforts made in the area of urban mobility. This year, the entire prize bucket is worth Rs 12 lakh. The last date for registration is August 31, 2014 and that for submission of projects is September 20, 2014.

Last year, 51 projects were submitted in the event. The variety of topics that have been submitted in various editions range from bus transport and metro rail services to pedestrian rights to safety and addressing environmental concerns.

Volvo is inviting stakeholders from among citizen groups/NGOs, organisations/consultancies, and institutions among others, to participate in the 4th Edition of the awards. TheVolvo Sustainable Mobility Awards aims to reward progressive and practical action in the area of promoting sustainable solutions in urban mobility. This year the overall prize money has been increased to INR 1.2 million.This would include INR 700,000 for the winner, INR 300,000 for 1st runner-up and, inclusion of new category for 2nd runner up, which will get INR 200,000. In 2013, a total of 51 eligible projects were submitted to the jury for assessment, which included increased number of submissions from among various stakeholders.
