In the global motorsports scene, ZF holds repute amongst racing teams and car manufacturers alike. Its technologies and services have been part of a wide range of series, ranging from Formula 1 and DTM to WRC and the 24 hours of Le Mans. This latest initiative with Volkswagen Polo R Cup is a move by ZF to contribute towards the growing motorsport sector in India whilst establishing a firm presence and increased awareness of its brand in the critical developing market.

"Volkswagen Polo R Cup is in its third season and has grown to be one of the most popular race series in India. ZF's association with Volkswagen Polo R Cup India started with the debut series. Together with ZF, as well as other partners and teams, we would like to further develop Volkswagen Polo R Cup for the future," said Prithviraj Siddappa, Head of Volkswagen Motorsport India.

This association is also an extension of ZF's global partnership with Volkswagen. ZF which is known to have massive experience in motorsports across Europe supplies the Polo R Cup cars with shock absorbers specifically designed by the ZF Race Engineering team based in Germany.

"The Volkswagen Polo R Cup series is the perfect stage for us to demonstrate the technical excellence of ZF products. With wide media coverage and a high level of attendees at the race events, Volkswagen Polo R Cup is also an excellent platform for further communication measures directly aimed at the Indian market. We furthermore aim to contribute to the further evolution of motorsports in India using the experience and expertise we have gained throughout the world, especially in Europe," said Stefan Sommer, CEO, ZF Friedrichshafen AG.
