2012 Los Angeles Show 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe
While Hyundai did mention that there is going to be a 7-seater version of the Santa Fe earlier this year, at the LA Auto Show 2012 the company displayed the SUV in production format. It will be sold along with the 5-seater trim and will have a 290PS 3.3-litre petrol engine under the hood. Hyundai is also offering the 6/7-seater Santa Fe with an optional 4-wheel drive system. According to the Korean company, fuel efficiency for the 2013 Santa Fe will be 10.62kmpl in the highway cycle for the front-wheel drive version and about 9kmpl in the AWD trim.
The bigger Santa Fe boasts of a wheelbase which is 3.9 inches more than the 5-seater version and considerably a larger boot space of 2265 litres with the last and middle rows down. With all the rows in place, the cargo volume reduces to 382 litres. Prices will be announced early next year.
