Honda has updated their 2013 CRF450R with a completely new sixth-generation aluminium frame and sub-frame designed to help mass centralisation. The Honda will also feature Kayaba's pneumatic spring forks (PSF) . On the engine front, valve timing has been further optimised with more overlap and larger exhaust valves. Compression has also been bumped up from 12:1 to 12.5:1.
A new airbox and revised intake help the bike breath better and all these changes have been made in the quest for more low and mid range power. The biggest visual change to the bike from the outgoing model is the dual muffler set up which allows the bike to easily meet the new stricter sound regulations while further helping with centralising mass.
