2013 New York Auto Show Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG 2014
Mercedes' uber-cool and sexy CLA45 AMG debuted at the 2013 New York Auto Show. Powered by what Mercedes calls "the most powerful 4-cylinder turbocharged unit", the CLA45 AMG brings to the table 355PS of power and 450Nm of torque. A seven-speed dual clutch transmission is mated to this engine and transfers power to all the four wheels through a 4MATIC drive system. Mercedes claims that the CLA45 AMG will hit the 0-100kmph in 4.7 seconds and will have an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph.
While we always thought that the CLA is drool worthy, the CLA45 AMG takes it to a new tangent with that AMG laced face and big wheels. While it may look aesthetic, it also makes the car a wee bit aerodynamic and aids it's handling. The stock suspension makes way for the stiffer bearings, new four-link rear axle and stiffer steering bits.
The CLA45 AMG will go on sale in 2-3 months with an asking price of Rs 25.80 lakh in North America.
