2014 Maruti Ciaz first look: Image gallery
We're going to be driving the all-new Maruti Ciaz tomorrow in Jaipur (no cats involved) so watch out for a comprehensive drive review coming shortly. What we do have right now are fresh images of our brand new, showroom ready ride for tomorrow
We glean all we can from our images of the minty fresh Maruti Ciaz and break it down for you.
Fog lamp housing not as radical as the one seen in the concept at the Auto Expo. Design comes across as a typical Suzuki layout
The grille is reminiscent of the SX4 but sleeker
The Ciaz monogram is the same as the one seen on the concept at the Auto Expo 2014
The tail lights remind one of a Honda's. Note chrome lining for the tail lights
16-inch multi-spoke alloys looks smart and are shod with 195-section Apollo Alnac
tyres
The front seats are large and generously bolstered. . .
. . . while the rear bench is flat and wide. Additional contouring acts as a back / lumbar support for rear seat occupants
The rear windshield gets a retractable blind
The dash layout is simple and follows the Waterfall theme seen in the Swift
range
Finer treatment on the familiar layout for the instrumentation - we like
Touchscreen infotainment system and climate-control are only available in the top spec trims
Power window switchgear is also inherited from the Swift range
Keyless entry and go are available - but only on the range topping trims (sigh!)
The rear seat windows get blinds
A faux black wood finish for the inlays
Maruti Suzuki's favourite ABS decal moves to the rear windshield for the Ciaz
The ZXI+ trim is the range topper for the petrol Ciaz
ZDI+ and ZXI+ comprise Maruti's new nomenclature for the variants
1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine delivers 90PS and a max torque of 200Nm
1.4-litre K-series petrol churns out 92PS and gives out a maximum torque of 130Nm
