2014 Yamaha R15 version 2.0 gets four new colours in India

Yamaha India has launched a total of four new colours and graphics for its R15 version 2.0 motorcycle. The new offerings have been made with a view to boost sales of the premium 150cc bike and to create more excitement among prospective customers. The four new colours are Raring Red, Invincible Black, Racing Blue and Grid Gold. The Raring Red and Invincible Black models are priced at Rs 110,003 and the Racing Blue and Grid Gold versions are a tad more expensive at Rs 112,924. All the above prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

The company hopes that with the introduction of these new colours the R15 can bring in more customers between the age group of 18-24 years. The change has only been made on the outside and the mechanicals remain the same with the engine being a liquid cooled, 4-stroke, 4-valve, SOHC unit displacing 149.8cc and generating max power of 17PS at 8500rpm and top torque of 15Nm kicking in at 7500rpm.

At the launch, Roy Kurian, VP – Sales and Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Yamaha Motor India Sales brings new color variant to its flagship sports motorcycle R15 Version 2.0

New Delhi, 21st March: Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. has launched the variants of its bestselling Yamaha R15 version 2.0 in vibrant color schemes and graphics to boost sales and create more excitement amongst customers. Further cementing its position in the 150 cc premium segment, R15 version 2.0 will get a new look in terms of color and graphics. The Yamaha R15 version 2.0 will now be available in four more attractive colors that will be available at all authorized Yamaha dealers across India.

The product specs remain unchanged with the same liquid cooled, 4stroke SOHC, 4 Valve engine, Hydraulic, single disc – front and rear brakes along with a fuel capacity of 12 litres. The new models have been developed following the Bharat Stage IV (BS IV) emission norms.

    I am planing to buy R15 by mid April … sad news that no version 3.0.
    When the new color option will be available on showroom? Which color will be the best Gird Gold or Raring Red (2014)?

      Raring red seems a little odd because of it’s back seat colour being black.its like the front and back don’t match properly…so go for grid gold or racing blue :)

        exactly me too thinking that r15 raring red’s back below seat section should have been white then it would look great like the old sunset red color which i miss vry much…..

          Yeah exactly I had the same thing in mind,White would have been much beter giving it an awsome look.when compared to racing blue it’s graphics aren’t that great.

            I’ll going for Grid Gold if the new colors available in Guwahati (Assam) showrooms in the month of April if not then i’ll go for old stock thundering green. All colors are grt Racing blue is also grt.

      Yes , its available in some showrooms but new production already stopped. I have contact a Yamaha dealer in Bongaigaon , they said our showrooms don’t have the color thundering green and new production has already stopped they told me to wait till april for the gird gold color, then i search for yamaha dealers in Guwahati thanks to justdial.com and found a showroom in Silpukari(Guwahati) thundering green color still available .. so i change my mind and gonna buy the limited edition thundering green b4 31st march

    Today I book racing white ..
    from the last 6 months i em going with a
    invincible black color but when I heard that 4 new colors are available
    in r15 i will get excited when I gone to the showroom they shows me 4
    different colors but by fav.color is black .when I show that color it
    looks totally odd ,it is looking lyk U paste a stickers of a golden
    colors on whole byk .only gold-gold shine in that .this is a special
    edition byk lyk thundering green & all others are limited edition
    and from a last week i em going with a grey color but yesterday i change
    my mind and now i em going with the racing white coz yamaha brings grey
    color 1st tym in r15 it looks nyc but it also look litle-bit odd coz of
    it colors ..:-)))
