2015 Hyundai Verna to be launched in India early next year

2015 is almost here and news about new cars/motorcycles coming down to India have already started trickling in. Hyundai has an enviable lineup for the Indian market in 2015. However bad news is that most of the cars will be refreshes rather than all-new models. The first car which will be launched in 2015 by Hyundai will be the updated Verna.

While speculations that the Korean car maker is bringing in the Solaris as the Verna replacement have been running rife, that is supposedly not the case. Our source tells us that the Solaris is a bigger car than the Verna and may be launched at a later stage as a different model altogether. For now, the Verna facelift will have a new hexagonal grille, which will be an advanced version of the Fluidic Sculpture design that Hyundai still follows in India, more like a version 2.0 as seen on the new i20. The front and rear bumpers are also expected to be new. Inside, a touchscreen infotainment system will also debut while Hyundai will be adding the airbag count back to four on the top end variants.
The Verna sales have been taking a hit ever since fresher competition like the Ciaz and City have stepped in. With this update, Hyundai will be looking to regain lost market share. Expect prices to increase marginally. Hyundai will launch the new Verna in India by last week of January or in the first week of February.
