2016 TVS Victor launched in Maharashtra at Rs 49,188
TVS has launched the new Victor at Rs 49,188. The variant with the front disc brake is priced at Rs 51,188, both prices ex-Maharashtra.
The new TVS Victor features a revamped design as well as a new tubular frame. The new TVS Victor has a 110cc , three-valve, air cooled, engine (from the Ecothrust family) that develops 9.6PS at 8,000 rpm and 9.4Nm at 6,000rpm.
On the first ride, we discovered that the engine's unique oil cooled combustion chamber, spring loaded rocker arms and a silent cam chain endow the motor with impressive refinement.
Fuel tank capacity of the new TVS Victor is eight litres ( including a two litre reserve). Upfront there are telescopic forks and a two, five step adjustable hydraulic shocks at the rear. The instrument cluster is all new and features an analogue tachometer and digital readout for speed, fuel, odo and trip. TVS says the 60W headlight is the brightest in its segment. The Victor also gets a, first in segment, hazard lights, which is a thoughtful addition.
The first generation Victor was launched in 2002 and had garnered quite a lot of market share for TVS. (Clocking about 40,000 units every month). Subsequently, the company had launched the Victor 125 with alloys and a disc brake.
The new TVS Victor will be available in showrooms across Maharashtra soon. While we've ridden the Victor at TVS' test track, we will road test it soon. Watch this space to discover how it turns out in the real world.

An electric start fires up the 4 speed powertrain to churn out 9.6 PS of power@ 8000 rpm with a torque of 9.4 Nm @6000 rpm. Designed to suit customers looking for comfort, safety and handling, the new TVS Victor delivers an excellent mileage of 76 km/l under standard TVS test conditions. It carries an 8 liter fuel tank (including 2 liter reserve). The motorcycle has a wheelbase of 1260 mm with a ground clearance of 175 mm. TVS Victor comes in both disc and drum brake versions and is built on single cradle tubular frame.
