2017 Ford EcoSport spied
When we compared the Ford EcoSport to the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, we said that the EcoSport looks smart despite its age, but it is high time it got a more significant makeover than the minor nips and tucks it got last year. New spyshtots that have surfaced online hint that the EcoSport is indeed headed for a major facelift for 2017. What you see here are test mules that were snapped on US soil. The EcoSport isn't sold stateside, but the model caught on test looks likely to mark the CUV's debut in that market.
The biggest change seen on the new car is the now familial twin-slat grille which moves up higher on the face. The headlights too have been revised with a chunkier shape and a twin-pot headlamp design with projector beams. The turn blinkers have been integrated into the all-new bumper. The car gets a new skid-plate too. The rear too has been camouflaged heavily and retains its trademark spare wheel on the tailgate.

The cabin will wear a new dashboard design with simpler lines and more conventional instrumentation. The aging cell-phone inspired switchgear for the infotainment with expected to be replaced with a touchscreen unit on the range-topping trims, while the lower variants could continue using hardware similar to the current car. Expect a newer version of SYNC though.
There are no concrete timelines on when the new EcoSport hits showrooms, but looking at the pace of development, mid or late 2017 seems likely.
