Hyundai has revealed pictures and details of the 2017 Hyundai i30 ahead of its scheduled debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. The all-new third-generation i30 will arrive at Hyundai’s UK showrooms at the start of 2017.

In terms of styling, the new i30 gets a cascading grille which features chrome-plated dots. Hyundai says that this cascading grille will be a common feature on all of its future models. Apart from the sharp-looking grille, it gets a flared bonnet, LED headlamps with three projectors and vertical LED daytime running lamps. The slightly sloping roofline along with the black rear spoiler and LED tail lamps complements the overall design. Hyundai claims that the new i30 has a low coefficient of drag of just 0.30.

There will be a new 1.4 T-GDI turbocharged four-cylinder engine which is good for 140PS, a 1.0 T-GDI turbocharged three-cylinder engine which is good for 120 PS and a 1.4 MPI four-cylinder which will deliver 100PS of power. The all-new Hyundai i30 will also offer buyers the choice of a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine in three states of tune: 95PS, 110PS and 133PS. The engines will get mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

In an official release, Hyundai has stated that the i30 won’t be restricted to just one model and will have different versions. There will be a performance version of the all-new i30 which will be launched under Hyundai Motor’s N brand.
