2017 National Drag Racing Championship: Hemanth Muddappa wins Super Sport Unrestricted class at Round 2

The second round of the MMSC FMSCI Indian National Drag Racing Championship saw Hemanth Muddappa take his second victory of the season, winning the Super Sport (unrestricted) class of the race at the Madras Motor Racing Track.

Muddappa, who had won the class in the previous round of the championship, clocked a timing of 08.151 seconds over the 302 metre sprint, while Mysore's Rameez Khan finished second with a time of 08.332 seconds, and Rizwan Khan took third with a time of 08.359 seconds.

Rizwan Khan took victory in both the 851-1050cc class and above 1050cc class drag races.
