2018 Hero Passion Pro, 2018 Hero Passion XPro launched in India at Rs 53,189 and Rs 54,189, respectively

Hero MotoCorp has launched the 2018 Hero Passion Pro and 2018 Hero Passion XPro in India at Rs 53,189 and Rs 54,189, respectively. These launches come just days after the launch of the 2018 Hero Super Splendor. The two Hero Passion motorcycles have received a slight bump in power and minor styling updates for the 2018 model year. We think that the 2018 Passion Pro is among the most stylish looking 110cc commuter motorcycles. It also features a new part-digital instrument cluster that integrates digital readouts for the odometer, speedometer and fuel gauge apart from a side-stand indicator.

The Passion Pro is powered by Hero's new, vertically-inclined, 109cc air-cooled single cylinder engine that debuted on the Splendor iSmart last year. Hero claims it is 12 per cent more powerful than the previous gen Passion Pro. Outputs stand at 9.5PS and 9Nm as against the older engine's figures of 8.36PS and 8.05Nm. Like its siblings, the Passion Pro also benefits from Hero's i3S start-stop technology to improve fuel efficiency. The Passion Pro is available in five paint options - Sports red, Black monotone, Force silver metallic, Heavy grey metallic, and Frost blue metallic.

Meanwhile, the 2018 Hero Passion XPro is the sportier of the two motorcycles with small changes that add up to this goal. In terms of design, the Passion XPro is snazzier looking as it gets a different headlamp unit, replete with pilot lamps. The Passion XPro also gets a set of tank extensions, though its seat isn't as curvy or sporty to look at as compared to the Passion Pro. The Passion XPro also gets an LED tail light and different body panels. It retains the same engine as the Passion Pro.

The Passion XPro has stiffer rear suspension to make it a better handler. The Passion XPro is also 5mm longer at 1,967mm, courtesy s longer swingarm. The changes have also made the Passion XPro heavier as it weighs 3 kg more at 119kg. Interestingly, the Passion XPro gets a smaller, 9.2-litre fuel tank as compared to 11 litres on the Passion Pro. Another important difference is that the Passion XPro gets tubeless tyres, while the Passion Pro doesn't. The Passion XPro is available in five dual-tone paint options - Sports red with black, Black with sports red, Black with techno blue, Black with heavy grey, and Force silver with black.
