2020 Audi Q8 Celebration launched in India, priced at Rs 98.98 lakh
Audi India has expanded the Audi Q8 lineup to include a new entry-level variant for the coupe-SUV. Called the Audi Q8 Celebration, this version is priced at Rs 98.98 lakh, ex-showroom. This is Rs 35 lakh less than the standard Audi Q8. This version is aimed at festive season buyers and aimed at widening the appeal of the Q8 says Audi.
Notable features on the Audi Q8 Celebration are matrix LED headlamps with dynamic lighting, the dual-screen touch-based infotainment system with navigation, virtual cockpit instrument cluster, smartphone connectivity, wireless charging, a standard music system, panoramic sunroof, Audi's Pre-sense suite of safety equipment, eight airbags, ambient lighting and park assist.
Missing here is adaptive air suspension replaced with steel springs with damper control, the Bang and Olufsen sound system, haptic feedback interior buttons, aluminium trim, manual boot cover, and 19-inch alloys instead of the 20-inch ones.
The other mechanicals of the Audi Q8 remain unchanged with the Celebration variant. Powering the 55 TFSI trim is a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine that has an output of 340PS and 500Nm of torque. This puts its power down via an eight-speed automatic and the quattro AWD system. Audi claims a 0 to 100 kmph time of 5.9s for this version. The Q8 is based on the MLB Evo platform that also underpins the Audi SQ7, Porsche Cayenne and Bentley Bentayga and is sold in India as a CBU.
Other than the Audi Q8 Celebration edition, the standard Audi Q8 continues to be sold in India at Rs 1.33 crore while the Audi Rs Q8 is priced at Rs 2.07 crore, both ex-showroom.
