BMW Motorrad India has commenced the bookings for the BSVI iterations of its entry-level motorcycles, the G 310 R and the G 310 GS. All the company dealerships in India have started accepting bookings wherein prospective customers can also visit the company website to fill an online enquiry. While BMW Motorrad India has not disclosed the date of launch for these two motorcycles, we expect it happen sometime in the second week of September followed by deliveries in the last week of that month of early October 2020.

"BMW Motorrad India has built a very robust position among motorcycling enthusiasts in India. With the BMW G 310 bikes, thousands of riding enthusiasts have entered the premium world of BMW Motorrad to explore riding in a completely different way. These two bikes offer a true BMW experience at competitive costs. Refined, redefined and reenergized, the BMW G 310 R and BMW G 310 GS are now back in new BS-VI compliant variants. With the pre-launch bookings, customers and riding enthusiasts have a chance to secure the purchase ahead of the launch and be the first in the world to ride these new bikes on the roads." commented, Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India.

Both these motorcycles were already spotted doing international testing somewhere in Europe and also in India. While there are going to be a list of updates in terms of aesthetics and features, the most important one of them all will be the BSVI compliant single-cylinder 313cc engine.

As seen from the motorcycles being tested in Europe, the highlight will be the all-LED lighting, with a redesigned headlight assembly that seems larger and also gets slimmer side panels. The instrumental cluster design, beefy gold USD forks and the five-spoke alloys could be retained from the previous offering. What looks to have been changed or updated are the side panels and the tank design, wherein the tank features sharper lines while the panels have been extended to sync with the tank design.

With the tweaks in the design and additional features such as colour TFT display, ride-by-wire tech with slipper clutch and updated exhaust design, it is obvious to expect both the motorcycles to be priced at a higher premium. A similar set of revisions made the Apache RR 310 more expensive by Rs 12,000.

BMW mentions, the BMW G 310 R and the BMW G 310 GS motorcycles have been driving the momentum for BMW Motorrad India with a share of over 85 percent in yearly sales. BMW Financial Services India will offer customized and flexible financial solutions wherein customers can also get their loans pre-approved before delivery takes place.
