2020 Toyota Innova Crysta facelift launched in India, prices start from Rs 16.26 lakh
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has given the popular Toyota Innova Crysta a mid-cycle update. A sharpened exterior look, new interior upholstery and added features are the main highlights. Prices for the Toyota Innova Crysta facelift start from Rs 16.26 lakh for the entry-level GX petrol variant. The updates are only applicable to the GX, VX and ZX variants, the G and G+ remain unchanged. Prices for the updated variants have increased by Rs 60,000-70,000 while the base trims have seen a Rs 20,000 hike. The range now tops out at Rs 24.33 lakh for the ZX diesel AT.
Visually, the most noticeable change is the new trapezoidal grille with the horizontal slats and chrome surrounds. The front bumper has been changed too with the foglamps now placed in the reworked airdam and more prominent surrounds for the indicators. Other exterior touches are a new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy-wheel design and a new paint option - Sparkling Black Crystal Shine.
On the inside, the interiors are now finished in a new tan upholstery colour for the ZX variants. There is a new infotainment now as well. This adds Android Auto/Apple Carplay compatibility and also gets physical buttons for functions and knobs for volume and tuning control. Front parking sensors have been added as well. Optionally, real-time vehicle tracking, geofencing, last parked location and other connected-car features can be specified. The Innova Crysta's features list already includes keyless entry, puddle lamps, ambient lighting, auto rear AC, easy folding seats, cooled storage spaces and 7 airbags.
The Innova Crysta's engines were updated to BSVI-spec earlier this and those remain unchanged here. These are a 2.7-litre petrol that makes 166PS and 245 Nm and a 2.4-litre diesel that makes 150PS and 343 Nm with the five-speed manual or 360 Nm with the six-speed auto. The petrol engine is also available with the same gearbox choices.
