According to company officials their Stile MPV has been well received by prospective MPV buyers. Ashok Leyland hopes to get a chunk of this market which had registered 40 per cent growth in the last fiscal. The manufacturer is planning to focus on the taxi market and cab market to gain market share.

The Ashok Leyland Stile is built at Nisaan-Renault's Oragadam plant and is offered to prospective buyers in three variants from a price range of Rs. 7.4 lakh to Rs.9.35 lakh.

"Enquiries and bookings for the vehicle are very good and the company will sell at least 1,000 vehicle before this financial year. If the company feels the pressure on production schedule, it will think of starting a new plant. However there is no immediate possibility to start a new plant," said Naga Senthil Prabhu, Regional Manager-South (LCV), Ashok Leyland.
