Auto Expo 2012 – Cooper unveil their 4-cylinder engine

Cooper Corporation Ltd a maker of centrifugal castings has unveiled their new 4-cylinder engine at the Auto Expo 2012. The chief guest for the unveiling was James Bevan, the British high commissioner designate.

The engines will be produced for genset and other fixed speed applications as well as variable speed and vehicle applications. For gensets, they will be available with Stanadyne mechanical injection systems using 750 bar injection pressure and achieving CPCB II norms which will be applicable from June 2013 onwards. The engine will use CRDI system for variable and vehicle speed application. It is Euro V compatible.

Currently, Cooper Corporation product portfolio has engines, gensets, cylinder liners, cylinder blocks and heads, flywheels, pulleys and valve seat inserts. The company is also developing gas engines for mixture type gas systems. Cooper also plans to launch its own vehicle using the new engine.
