Bajaj Auto has launched a new twin-disc variant of the Pulsar 150. The motorcycle, as the name suggests, now comes with disc brakes on both wheels. It is priced at Rs 78,016 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Other changes to the Pulsar 150 are a new design scheme, split seats and split grab rails, longer wheelbase and a wider 120mm rear tyre. The motorcycle also comes with a fatter 37mm front fork. The front brake disc is 260mm while the rear disc is a 230mm piece.

The frame and powertrain are carried from the last bike over but with improved NVH levels. The 149.5 cc DTS-i engine now makes 14 PS of power and 13.4 Nm of torque. Apart from the previous colour options of Pulsar 150,  3 new colour options exclusive to the twin disc version have been made available. These are Black Blue, Black Red and Black chrome.

These are changes that had trickled down from the Pulsar 220 to the Pulsar 180 earlier and as part of Bajaj's strategy of offering better technology on lower displacement models, the updates have made their way onto the Pulsar 150 as well. The updated Pulsar 150, internally codenamed UG6, competes with bikes like the Suzuki Gixxer, Honda Unicorn 160 as also the Yamaha FZ-S FI.
