Brabus bringing 800PS SL65 AMG to Geneva

Brabus will unveil the 800PS SL65 AMG at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show this March. The roadster has a 6-litre V12 engine which pumps out a colossal 1420Nm of torque. While this amount of torque may seem interesting, Brabus says that to protect the 7G-tronic transmission, torque has been limited to only 1099Nm. Still, the 800 roadster can accelerate from 0-100kmph in only 3.7seconds, 200kmph in 9.8s and will have a top speed of 350kmph.

So apart from tuning the engine with high-performance kits and parts, what else has Brabus modified here? To reduce lift at speeds, Brabus has fitted a special carbon fibre aero kit. There is also a control module which actuates the car's suspension and lowers the ride height by a good one inch. Performance is further enhanced with a limited-slip rear differential with a locking rate of 40 per cent. Then there are the Brabus 20-inch wheels.
