BSVI Jawa Perak Image gallery - a closer look at the most affordable bobber in the country
The Jawa Perak was unveiled last year with a price tag of Rs 1.89 lakh ex-showroom. This time around, the Bobber has been launched in the country with the price tag of Rs 1.94 lakh ex-showroom pan India, which is a hike of Rs 5,500. The Jawa Perak will be available in select dealerships from tomorrow for test rides. The bookings for the same will commence from January 1, 2020, and the deliveries will begin from April 2, 2020.
At this pricing, the Perak is the most affordable bobber in the country and has carved a niche for itself in the market.
The fascia of the motorcycle is similar to the Jawa and the Forty Two but the paint finish and black treatment for the headlamp bezel set it apart
The fuel tank retains the tear-drop shape and the panels sport styling lines that flow towards the rear
The motorcycle only gets one seat and the pillion seat cannot be bought as an accessory
The seat is mounted in a way to give a floating effect and the stop-lamp has been integrated neatly into the seat
The instrument cluster is a mix of analogue and digital display. Speedometer and the fuel tank gauge are analogue while the odometer gets a digital display
The Perak misses out on an all-LED headlamp, instead gets a halogen headlamp which is more in line with the retro theme of the Bobber
The Perak also gets a longer swingarm which translates to a longer wheelbase at 1,485mm
The motorcycle gets disc brakes on either end of the motorcycle with dual-channel ABS
The Perak is powered by a BSVI compliant single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 334cc engine
The power is rated at 30PS and has 31Nm of torque
The suspension unit in the front are conventional telescopic forks and the rear gets a monoshock with preload adjustment
