Citroen C5 Aircross to be sold at 10 dealerships across India at launch
Citroen India has revealed that its first car, the Citroen C5 Aircross SUV, will be sold across 10 dealerships once it launches by March 2021. The first of these dealerships have been opened in Ahmedabad, the rest coming up in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Gurgaon and Kochi. These facilities will come with service centres and owners will be supported via Citroen's mobile service facility and road-side assistance. More dealerships and service centres will be added once sales trends set in.
Citroen will follow its 'La Maison Citroen' dealership them for India as well. Each dealership will be spread across 4,000 sq ft, display four cars with one being fully accessorized and have a dedicated delivery bay. The spaces will be built around Citroen's ATAWADAC (AnyTime AnyWhere AnyDevice AnyContent) and Phygital ecosystems. The idea being to provide a seamless mix of the physical dealership experience and digital access to its offerings. All Citroen dealerships will feature a glass facade and an external display screen. On the inside, the space will be done up in a mix of industrial and homely design themes with the Citroen brand colours of saffron and white with wood decor. Open seating for sales areas and various interactive facilities are other highlights.
Each dealership will be equipped with a set of interactive facilities that merge physical and digital aspects. There will an ATAWADAC 'bar' where customers will be able to export a vehicle configuration from their devices to the showroom. A 3D configurator can then be used to make choices, with assistance from the sales staff. There will also be another display that showcase's brand heritage through past models in a virtual museum. These dealerships will also feature lounge-like seating in waiting areas and a Citroenist Café to spend time in. A merchandise store will also be present, housing scale models and lifestyle products. Finally, each of the 10 dealerships will have a Citroen classic car on display, in a move to highlight the brand's heritage.
