Italian exotic motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has announced the commencement of bookings for its first BSVI motorcycle, the Panigale V2. The company mentions that all Ducati dealerships have started accepting bookings against a payment of Rs 1 lakh. Post the launch, which is expected to happen shortly, the motorcycle will can seen at company showrooms in Delhi – NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata, and Chennai. Even the test rides will commence post the launch, wherein Ducati dealerships will be taking all the necessary precautions under its Ducati Cares programme during COVID-19.

"The Panigale V2 has been the most awaited bike since EICMA and we eagerly waited to bring this ultimate superbike as our first BS6 motorcycle for the Indian motorcycle enthusiast. The new Panigale V2 is a beefy yet compact bike with clear-cut lines that convey power without compromising on the classic Ducati superbike flair. Considering the overwhelming inquiries for launch of the Panigale V2, we are confident the bike will do well in the market by offering an unmatched Ducati riding experience to enthusiasts who're looking to step into the world of riding on the racetrack and also to more experienced riders." commented, Bipul Chandra, Managing Director of Ducati India.

The upcoming supersport offering from the Italian motorcycle major replaces the 959 Panigale from the company's portfolio, that is priced at Rs 15.30 lakh. We expect the Panigale V2 to be priced Rs 1-1.2 lakh over the 959. Ducati recently unveiled the White Rosso livery which, we believe, will be on offer in India too. The Panigale V2 uses the same, 955cc, 90-degree V-twin engine as before but the motor has received comprehensive updates to offer better performance and meet stricter, Euro V norms. Outputs are up to 155PS (up by 5PS) and 104Nm (up by 2Nm), thanks to revised internals as also the new, more efficient air intakes and new injectors and Ducati claims the V2 offers over 60 per cent torque consistently over 5,500rpm. Here's our detailed first ride review of the Ducati Panigale V2.
