Exclusive: Triumph Bonneville Bobber to launch on Oct 19, 2016
Triumph, as reported earlier, has been known to be working on the Bonneville Bobber. And now these images confirm the same. We have learnt that Triumph is planning to expand the Bonneville line and introduce the Bonneville Bobber on October 19 in London. It is expected to make its first public appearance at the EICMA, scheduled to happen next month in Milan, Italy.
The new Triumph Bonneville Bobber is expected to retain the same engine options as the ones seen in the regular Bonneville range. The base models use the 900cc parallel-twin that is also seen on the range starter Street Twin followed by the more powerful 1,200cc motor seen on the more premium offerings like the Thruxton, Thruxton R , T120 and the T120 Black. The test mules that have been spotted doing rounds seem to be equipped with the the larger 1,200cc motor, something which will be confirmed at the time of the official unveiling. This one should also comply with the latest Euro-IV emission norms.

The spied images also reveal the retro, classic-styled Bonneville Bobber comes with a single disc brake, whereas the other offering in the Bonnie range feature a twin-disc set-up. This might be the case only with the test bike as it also did not feature a front mudguard. The other details that are visible are the monoshock that is hidden under the seat, giving an impression of a single sprung seat. Additionally, it comes with bar-end mirrors.
At the Intermot 2016, Triumph also showcased the new Street Twin-based Street Cup and the Bonneville T100. The Street Cup is powered by a 55PS/80Nm making 900cc motor similar to the latest T100. We expect Triumph India to bring the Bonneville Bobber sometime next year.
