Its that time of the month when our latest issue hits the stands. This time too, we have lots of exciting drives, tests, comparos, rides and features to fuel your need of speed for all of October. This month markes the start of the festive season in India, the articles relate to the theme.

Renault has launched their Nissan Sunny clone, the Scala in India. Is it a case of good badge engineering or will Renault actually be able to emulate the Sunny's success? Joe finds this out with the Scala drive and a subsequent standing comparo with its cousin. The Ertiga has been getting all the rave reviews ever since it was launched. Now, in diesel skewed India, a petrol people mover doesn't cut the mustard. Ashok drives the petrol variant of the Ertiga to see if it can draw customers to the Maruti showrooms on its own or will it live in the shadows of its diesel sibling. Audi India has plonked the most powerful diesel engine under the hood of the A8L and Halley drives it to see what all the hullaboo is about.

It's been a while but the Hyundai Elantra is finally back. Is the competition worried then? Rishaad pits the newcomer against the established players in the segment - Corolla, Cruze, Fluence and Laura to see which one commands your attention and money. Toyota has brought in the latest-gen Camry to India and the others in the segment are ready for it. Halley compares it with the Accord, Sonata and Superb. Audi's S4 is a decepticon, so says Halley after his road test of the A4 on steroids. Mahindra is out with a rejuvenated Rodeo and Ashok takes it out for a spin to find out how much has changed for the company's flagship scooter.

Bajaj pioneered the 125cc segment with the Discover in 2004. Following up on its success, the 125ST with a 4-valve engine and monoshock suspension tries to go one up against the competition. Will it be better than the current segment leader, the Stunner and its impostor brethren, the Ignitor? Shumi finds out. Yamaha has opened its Indian scooter chapter with a girls' scooter, the Ray. Shumi ride it to see what the hype is all about. The KTM 200 Duke and the Pulsar 200NS have slogged it on busy intersections and highways. Now is the time for a track test. Abhay pits the siblings from a different mother on a race track. Touring on a Ducati will be stuff that Italians can dream of; however, Abhay shows us that the Hypermotard 1100 Evo is just one of the most practical Ducatis in the India when it comes to touring.
