Fiat, Mahindra to organise separate PUC test camps for respective customers

Book you place in the FGAIPL test camp this World Environment Day. Before IPL fans jump to far-fetched conclusions, we would like to explain that the FGAIPL stands for Fiat Group Automobiles Pvt Ltd and the test is a PUC test. But the goods news is that it’s free.

Mahindra and Mahindra would also be organising a free PUC check-up camp for personal as well as commercial Mahindra vehicles across all its 400 plus dealerships’ workshops. Like Skoda, Mahindra has also been conducting such camps every year.

The customer care VP of Automotive division (M&M), Sanjay Gupta, said, “Mahindra has always been committed to the cause of sustainable development across its entire value chain. Our products conform to the strictest emission norms and reaffirm our commitment and responsibility towards society and a clean and green tomorrow. Mahindra has also been conducting PUC check-up camps every year

Mahindra is going one step forward by distributing saplings to its customers to spread the message in a more visible way. The camp will be held in association with SIAM (Society for Indian Automobile Manufacturers) and SAFE (Society for Automotive Fitness and Environment).

Fiat would be contacting existing customers to inform them about the camp. These camps will be held at selected workshops across 64 cities in India.

We have seen a very positive response to the check up camps that were conducted in the past and have therefore decided to launch PUC check up camp keeping in mind the environmental sensitivities the world is facing.”

Mumbai, 4th June, 2014: FIAT Group Automobiles India Pvt. Ltd (FGAIPL) has undertaken a massive after sales initiative across India. FGAIPL will set up free PUC check up camps at its exclusive dealerships across India on “World Environment Day” – 5th June, covering all the states. This move is in continuation with FIAT’s strategy to reach out to a wide base of FIAT customers located across India and reiterate its commitment to the Indian market.

Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Nagesh Basavanhalli, President and Managing Director, FIAT Chrysler India Operations said, “At FIAT, we believe in maintaining the environmental balanaces and want to to make sure that every FIAT vehicle has a sustainable drive. The PUC check up initiative is to ensure that we as a company are doing our bit to maintain our vehicles and follow environmentally sustainable practices. FIAT exclusive dealership executives will contact existing FIAT customers through text messages and e-mails to inform them about the camps. The one day check up camp will be set up at the selected exclusive Fiat Workshops in 64 cities of the country.

Mahindra announces nationwide Free PUC Check-up Camp for its customers on the occasion of World Environment Day on 5th June 2014

Mumbai, 4 June 2014: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M), India’s leading SUV manufacturer, today announced a free PUC check-up camp for all Personal and Commercial Mahindra vehicles on 5th June 2014 to celebrate World Environment Day. This customer-centric initiative is organized at Mahindra dealerships’ workshops in June every year. This initiative will be conducted in association with the Society for Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and the Society for Automotive Fitness & Environment (SAFE).



The PUC camp will provide Mahindra customers with the opportunity to ensure that their vehicles are within emission limits, as per guidelines set by Regional Transport Offices (RTOs). Customers can avail of PUC check for their Mahindra vehicles, completely free of cost. As a part of this campaign, RTO authorised PUC machines will check the required parameters as per emission standards.



On this occasion, Mahindra will also undertake widespread distribution of saplings to its customers and other stakeholders to commemorate the day and contribute to a greener tomorrow.
