Ford EcoSport 'Limited Edition' launched in Europe via Facebook
Ford has a cash cow, and they call it the EcoSport. With social media's impact spreading like wildfire, Ford has used this momentum to launch a limited edition of its compact crossover on their UK Facebook page.
Ford has also announced that only 500 'Limited Editions' will be available across Europe. 120 of these are right-hand-drives and specifically reserved for the UK markets.

One of the highlight features is the Ford SYNC AppLink system, which enables voice control of smartphone apps from the driver's seat. Other features include the Titanium X Pack, rear parking sensors, Panther Black Metallic Paint and three free apps.
The Ford EcoSport Limited Edition is available with a choice of a 125PS 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine or a 91PS 1.5-litre diesel engine.
British customers can reserve Limited Edition EcoSport models, which are priced from £16,995, on a dedicated website by following a link from Facebook. The ordering process can be completed at any of the UK's 530 official Ford dealers upon receipt of a special reservation voucher.
Following this, Ford will also launch the Titanium series, which gets 16" alloys with spare alloy, front fog lamps, silver roof rails, power door mirrors, keyless entry, PowerStart, remote locking, Thatcham alarm, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, daytime running lamps, ABS, ESP, EBA, seven airbags, EATC, CD/radio with USB/aux in, multifunction leather steering wheel, power front and rear windows, rake/reach adjust steering, height/lumbar adjust driver's seat, rake adjust rear seat and floor mats. This model will be priced in the range of £14,995 to £17,495 on the road.
It will get three engine options - the 1.0-litre EcoBoost offering 125PS, the 1.5-litre petrol offering 112PS and the 1.5 TDCi offering 91PS.
Ford has confirmed that deliveries of the vehicles in UK will commence during March next year. Meanwhile in India, the EcoSport has reported more than 40,000 bookings. This from a car which was launched just a few months back.
