Harley-Davidson India has introduced a new rider training programme for its customers under the banner, Passport to Freedom. The first session will be held on April 10, 2016 at Capital Harley-Davidson, Gurgaon.
With this initiative, the company aims to impart basic riding skills to riders with a view to help them ride better. The team will comprise of experienced riders and motorcycle experts whoâll address doubts as well as answer questions on braking, slow speed handling, defensive riding, road signs and signals.
Speaking about the programme, Pallavi Singh, director marketing, Harley-Davidson India said,” We want to support and enable aspiring riders to begin the ride of their dreams by helping them get the skills they need to hit the road with confidence.” Harley-Davidson will run the Passport to Freedom programme across its dealerships in India, throughout 2016. Owners can log on to Harley-Davidsonâs official website to get additional details.
The step taken by Harley-Davidson India is commendable. There are a number of riders who own big bikes but do not possess the skills to handle them. The right training to handle big machines will help owners ride safely and also ensures the safety of other road users.
Yamaha India and Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India also conduct safety riding programmes in the country.
