Harley-Davidson India has launched a smart phone application on Android and iOS platforms which aims to connect owners to each other. The app can be used to do a variety of stuff like planning trips, getting directions and sharing photos with other Harley owners.
Apart from this one can also find H-D dealers, nearby riders, fuel bunks and cafes. One can also join a rider group if there is any nearby. Plus, there is an option to store driver's licence information, motorcycle registration and to set reminders for service updates and PUC checks.

The bond and camaraderie shared between our riders continues to be an essential part of the Harley-Davidson ownership experience. The H-D India smart phone application was developed to enhance the customer experience and take it a step further." said, Anoop Prakash, managing director Harley-Davidson India.
While the application doesn't bring anything new to the table, H-D fanatics, who had to make do with Harley t-shirts and merchandise can find a greater sense of belonging by joining this group. You need a VIN number of your Harley to join this one so we cannot comment much about its pros and cons. The app though looks interesting enough and is certainly worth your attention if you own a Harley-Davidson.

Building on their initiatives to develop deeper and meaningful connections with customers that go beyond the motorcycle, Harley-Davidson India is bringing Harley owners closer together through the launch of a new H-D India smart phone application. With World Ride 2014 just around the corner the application provides the perfect platform for Harley-Davidson owners to create and share content around their rides.
The application will give Harley-Davidson owners the ability to create, share and plan rides, stay connected with their H.O.G. Chapters, follow events, share experiences, receive up to date information about their motorcycle, access road side assistance and information on new products from the company. The application also enables riders to look for other riders in the vicinity when they are on the move. A custom social network has been built which allows riders to follow each other's updates.
