Harley-Davidson kicked off the India Bike Week (IBW) held in Goa in style. Spearheading Harley's 110th anniversary celebrations at IBW was creative director of Harley general merchandise, Karen Davidson. Along with 500 Harley-Davidson owners from India, she joined the celebrations and also announced Goa's H-D dealership will open in the first half of this year. The company has so far sold 2000 motorcycles in India after setting shop here in 2009. She also said that exclusive 110th anniversary merchandise will also be available in India at all the nine Harley-Davidson dealerships.

During the event, several members of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) were invited on stage to wear the Freedom Jacket. The cloth is adorned with patches and emblems from its journey all over the world.

Commenting on her maiden visit to India and 110th anniversary celebration Karen Davidson said, "I am thrilled to be here riding in Goa to mark the beginning of Harley-Davidson's 110th year. It's always a pleasure to meet and ride alongside Harley-Davidson owners, and the level of passion and enthusiasm among India's HOG members is remarkable!"
