Hero MotoCorp's Anil Dua resigns as senior VP, sales and marketing

Anil Dua, senior vice-president, sales and marketing, has decided to end his stint with Hero MotoCorp. Dua had a significant role in putting Hero on the offensive after it parted ways with Honda in 2011.

Under his leadership, the company created new records in sales across all time-frames -  monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly. The company also experienced its highest ever sales for a non-festive period at 6,02,481 units during the month of May this year.

Pawan Munjal, MD and CEO of Hero MotoCorp, also appreciated Dua's role in doubling the sales volume and increasing the market share. Anil Dua is an alumnus of IIT-Delhi and IIM-Ahmedabad.

"I have accepted an exciting opportunity outside the country to begin a new chapter in my professional career. I will, however, always cherish my days at Hero." Anil said.

Hero is currently on a roll and is launching new models within short intervals. Many of the models shown at the Auto Expo and before, such as the Splendor iSmart, HF Deluxe Eco, Xtreme, Pleasure and the new Karizma/ZMR have been launched already.

Hero MotoCorp Ltd today announced senior level organisational change in the sales and marketing function. Mr. Anil Dua, Sr. VP (Sales & Marketing) has decided to pursue an opportunity outside of the company. He will continue in his current role till the 24th of June, 2014. Mr. Pawan Munjal, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Hero MotoCorp said, "Anil's contribution towards the growth of the company is highly appreciated. He played an important role in doubling of sales volumes and increasing market share during the past eight years. I thank Anil for his contributions, and wish him all the very best in his future endeavour." Mr. Anil Dua said "I have had an extremely fulfilling time at Hero MotoCorp. The national marketing and sales functions will continue to be headed by Mr. Sanjeev Shukla and Mr. A Srinivasu respectively, while the national dealer development and after-sales service functions will remain with Mr. Ajay Dikshit and Mr. Rajesh Mukhija respectively.
