Honda Livo launched in India at Rs 52,989

Honda's replacement for the ageing CB Twister, the Livo was launched at Rs 52,989  for the drum variant and Rs 55,489 for the disc variant (ex-showroom Delhi). This commuter bike will run the 110cc air-cooled motor seen on the CB Twister mated to a 4-speed transmission but with HET efficiency measures. This motor which sits in a steel tubular diamond chassis produces 9PS of power and 8.97Nm and is now claimed to deliver a fuel economy of 74kmpl.

The new design features a bikini fairing, an accentuated fuel tank, side cowls and a sporty looking exhaust. The bike gets a ground clearance of 180mm and a 'five-step adjustable' rear suspension, which should make it suitable for the Indian roads.

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India has explicitly stated that the motorcycle is aimed at young motorcyclists looking to buy their first bike. Buyers can choose from four colours - Athletic Blue Metallic, Pearl Amazing White, Sunset Brown Metallic and Black.

The battery is maintenance free and doesn't require a top-up, invalidating the chances of leakage completely.
