We just got our hands on the 2016 Triumph Bonneville Street Twin and thoroughly enjoyed it. This motorcycle gets a brand new liquid-cooled 900cc parallel twin engine that puts out 55PS at 5,900rpm and 80Nm of torque at 3,230rpm. Although that means less power than the outgoing model, torque is up by 12Nm.
The update also gives the Street Twin ride by wire connected to a single throttle body, which allows for the use of traction control. Triumph have also managed to make this new engine 35 per cent more efficient than the previous one, but have made the fuel tank smaller by 25 per cent. The new chassis on the Street Twin allows for a shorter wheelbase, which along with the loss of 11kg, makes it turn a lot quicker. You can scroll down to see what this new Bonnie is all about.
