Ducati India has just launched the new Multistrada 950 in India at Rs 12.60 lakh (ex-Delhi). The 950 is the smallest Multistrada yet. It shares most of the body work with its elder sibling, the Multistrada 1200 S, but parts such as the swingarm, exhaust can and seats are derived from the larger Multistrada Enduro. The 950 also does not get the cool LED headlamps or the lovely Skyhook, electronically adjustable suspension that's seen on the 1200S. All said, the new Mutistrada 950 does get a host of electronics such as eight-level traction control and three-level Bosch ABS and four riding modes Touring, Sport, Urban and Enduro. The Multistrada 950 shares most of the body work with its elder sibling, the Multistrada 1200 S
The seats are wide and designed for comfortable two-up riding. The 950 has a seat height of 840mm. The accessory seat allows adjustability ranging from 820mm-860mm
The aluminium double-sided swingarm is derived from the Multistrada Enduro. The Multistrada 1200S is the only model in the line up to feature a single-sided swingarm
The Multistrada 950 gets a new Testastretta, L-Twin cylinder Mono Spark, Desmodromic, liquid cooled motor that develops 113PS at 9,000rpm and 96.2Nm at 7,750rpm
The Multistrada 950 does not get LED headlamps, like its elder siblings
The 950 gets KYB 48 mm fully adjustable USD forks at the front
At the rear is a fully adjustable Sachs monoshock unit with remote spring preload adjustment
Ducati's LCD instrumentation is crisp and legible. The 20-litre fuel tank should offer impressive touring range
