As reported by us earlier, Ford will launch the Mustang on January 28, 2016 in India. The company has already sent launch invites which mentions the launch of "an highly anticipated all-new vehicle". The Ford Mustang is a cult muscle car and enjoys a strong fan following for its iconic status.

Ford India will bring the new generation Mustang through the CBU route. The Mustang, sold in the international markets, comes with different engine specs, however, the Indian version will be powered by the 5.0-litre V8 engine that makes 435PS of power and 542Nm of torque. This motor is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

The design of the Ford Mustang looks completely radical. The slender grille, sharp headlights with chiseled front face make it look very distinct; unlike anything sold in the country. The two-door coupe will come with a host of accessory options which include sporty alloy wheels and vinyls. The inside of the new Ford Mustang is not as flamboyant as the outside as it gets ebony coloured interiors with a basic layout.

The feature list in the Ford Mustang include a sync 3 infotainment system, automatic wipers, start/stop button and adaptive cruise control. In terms of safety, the Mustang comes equipped with BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) that uses radar to detect a vehicle at a blind spot and alerts with an indicator in the appropriate exterior mirror. The audio system includes an AM/FM stereo, single-CD/MP3 player and 12 speakers including an eight-inch sub-woofer.

This is also the first time that the Ford Mustang is offered in a right-hand drive configuration since its launch in 1964
