Hyundai India has launched the Kona electric in the country at Rs 25.30 lakh, ex-showroom, which is an introductory price. The Hyundai Kona electric will be offered in India in a single variant only and has been positioned above the Tuscon SUV in India, making it the new flagship which will be a unique offering in this price range. As mentioned before, the Hyundai Kona electric's pricing makes it compete with SUVs like the Jeep Compass, Volkswagen Tiguan and also the Honda CR-V. Hyundai dealerships have already started accepting bookings for the Kona electric wherein the deliveries are expected to begin shortly. The Hyundai Kona is being brought to the country through the CKD route, which has helped the company price the electric crossover in an aggressive manner.
