Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles to be featured in Spectre, the next James Bond film

Right from the Chevrolet Bel Air convertible that was 007's ride in Dr. No in 1962, the Bond franchise has been known to feature some really special cars. Most of these don't really make it to production which makes them even more special.
The latest 007 feature on the block is no exception to this tradition. And we won't be complaining when the film hits theatres this November. While 007's choice in Spectre is the Aston Martin DB10 concept, the bad guys have chosen Jaguar and Land Rover's mean and fast machines.

The Jaguar C-X75 hypercar driven by the main villain will go up against the Aston Martin DB10 in a spectacular chase sequence shot in Rome. More than one production version of the C-X75 may be used. These have been prepared by Williams Advanced Engineering. Unlike the concept that featured a hybrid powertrain, this car will most likely borrow the supercharged 5.0-litre V8 from the F-Type coupe.

The other vehicles from the brand's in-house Special Vehicles Operations arm are the heavily modified versions of the Land Rover Defender and Range Rover Sport SVR. The big machines have been used in scenes shot in Austria. The 550PS SVR is the fastest and most powerful Land Rover ever and looks meaner in the film. The use of LED bar lights adds to the presence.

The Defender meanwhile makes a comeback in the Bond film but has been further modified and is officially been named Big Foot. The vehicle features huge 37-inch off-road rubber, special suspension and enhanced body protection to cope up with all the battering it's predictably going to be subjected to in the action sequences. The Defender has been in production for 68 years now and we hope to see the legend in more Bond films.
