Jaguar launches locally assembled XJ 3.0 diesel in India at Rs 92.1 lakh
Jaguar has announced the price of the locally assembled Jaguar XJ 3.0 diesel. The premium luxury variant previously priced at Rs 1.26 crore, will now be available at prices starting from Rs 92.1 lakh (ex-Mumbai pre-octroi). The XJ diesel comes in two variants- premium luxury and portfolio. Price for the locally assembled petrol will be announced later this year.

The new 2014 XJ with new innovative features is bound to have an enhanced appeal for the discerning and successful individuals with a refined taste for elegant British style, luxury, design and sophistication."
The Jaguar XJ packs a 3.0 litre V6 turbo charged diesel engine capable of producing 275PS of power and 600Nm of torque. It can reach 0-100kmph in a claimed 6.4secs and has a maximum speed of 250kmph. In the meanwhile, the petrol engine is a 2.0-litre unit which makes 240PS and 340Nm. Claimed efficiency figures stand at 9.4kmpl for the petrol and 12.9kmpl for the diesel. The 2014 XJ runs on 18" meru alloy wheels. It stands at 5,252mm length, 2,105mm width and 1,457mm height.
Though most of the features will still be the same,the additions to this car will include an upgraded rear seat comfort pack with three massage seat functions, increased rear headroom and electric rear side window blinds. There will also be LED reading lights, 25.9cm rear screens for rear seat entertainment, and a new business table.
Apart from the XJ, JLR also assembles the XF and Freelander 2 in India.
