KTM 200 Duke alternate models in India
We would have expected that the next KTM to launch in India would be the alternate KTM 200 Duke model but Stefan Pierer says the next orange motorcycle will be the faired 390. Which means we will probably get a faired motorcycle based on the Duke 200 around Diwali 2013. Please see the Duke 390 sports bike story for the details of the other motorcycle. The 200 will be similar in nature and spec to the 390 sports bike and probably sport a premium of Rs 20-25,000 over the Duke 200 in price terms.
The other version would be the touring model, obviously, but we expect KTM to save the thunder of a brand new format for its displacement flagship rather than the 200. Again, the touring motorcycle is easy to do but we don't expect a touring-oriented Duke 200 (as the third Duke 200 model) to show up before January 2014.
