Live updates: Ducati Multistrada 1260 launch in India
Ducati India is launching the 2018 Multistrada 1260 and 1260 S in the country today, June 19. The new Ducati Multistrada 1260 had made its premiere at the Ducati World Premiere, just before EICMA 2017 in Milan, Italy. The engine on the 2018 Multistrada 1260 has a larger engine displacement of 1,262cc due to a slightly longer 71.5mm stroke than the current Ducati Multistrada, and it also features Desmodromic Variable Timing (DVT). The Ducati Multistrada 1260 and 1260 S have been launched in India at an introductory price of INR 15.99 lakh and INR 18.06 lakh (pan India)
Multistrada 1260 family is equipped with the Brembo brakes and cornering ABS as standard while the S version comes with Evo M50 4-Piston Callipers.
The Multistrada 1260 gets edge features like Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, the highly revered Skyhook suspension. Vehicle Hold Control, Cornering LED lights and a redesigned user interface
The added 60cc gives the #Multistrada1260 1Nm and a modest 6PS This fills torque 3,500rpm onwards which dramatically changes throttle feel
Ducati has also now added the Ducati Quick Shifter or DQS on the Multistrada 1260 which works up and down shifts and is sensitive to lean angle.
The Multistrada 1260 has the lowest-in-class seat height & specially designed high capacity fuel tank
The new Multistrada 1260 is said to offer the best power to weight ratio in its class
The Multistrada 1260 has the longest wheelbase in its class and also gets an all-new alloy design
The new Testastretta DVT engine gives the Multistrada 1260 160PS and generating 129.5 Nm at 7500rpm.
